Michael Lujan “Snafu”, 70, a resident of Espanola, passed away on November 29, 2021. Michael is preceded in death by his parents, Ruben and Josefina Lujan; brothers, Delfino and Eugenio Lujan; sisters, Amelia Bustos and Mabel Lujan; sister-in-law, Ruth Lujan; brother-in-law, Jimmy Lujan; father-in-law, Leo Barrera and mother-in-law, Josie King.
Michael was a loving and caring person who loved spending time with his family. His daughter and grandchildren were his pride and joy. His love for his wife was like no other. They would spend their time enjoying each other’s company at home with their pets. Michael has a love for classic cars especially Chevrolet cars. He was known for his unique saying, “Puro Chevrolet” and his passion for cars extended to his model collection. Whether he would build and put together modeled cars or buying modeled cars to add to his collection. Michael was a kind and loving person who will be greatly missed by all know knew and loved him.
Michael is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Lorraine King-Lujan; daughter Charity Roybal (Gabriel); grandchildren, Isaac, Jessica and Caleb Roybal; brother, George Lujan (Velma) and Alfred Lujan; sister, Cecilia Lujan; brother-in-law, Horace Bustos; sisters-in-law, Tina Lujan, Shirley Lujan, Dorothy King and Grace Brown; Godsons, Joseph Bustos and Michael Molina as well as numerous relatives and friends whom he loved dearly.
A private service will be held on Monday, December 6, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Peace of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a burial to follow at El Rancho Cemetery. Serving the family as pallbearers are Isaac Roybal, Caleb Roybal, Gabriel Roybal, Gene Lujan Jr., Horace Bustos jr., and James Lujan. Honoary pallbearers are Jessica Roybal and Glen Lujan.
