Michael Ryan Course was a resident of Chimayo was born November 27, 1984, and passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 29, 2021. He was preceded in death by his mother, Marlene Course; maternal grandparents, David and Ercina Ortiz; paternal grandparents, Delbert and Nancy Course, a dear great aunt, Lydia Martinez; and aunts, Amy Ortiz-Sanchez, and Christina Gauna.
Ryan was a hard worker and would work rain or shine and never complained, always willing to help others and never minded getting his hands dirty. He was a simple man and so happy with the simplest things in life. He loved working on cars with Albert Moreland and David Vigil. He loved his family with all his heart. He was remarkably close to his sister and enjoyed his morning coffee with his uncle Gerald. His nieces were the gleam in his eyes. He had a great passion to be in the great outdoors and enjoyed riding and training horses. He did not have much, but he was happy with what he had and would give you his shirt off his back.
Ryan is survived by his sister, Samantha Garcia and brother-in-law, Robbie Garcia of Albuquerque; brother, David Course of Fort Lauderdale, FL; nephew, Robbie Garcia (Ashley) of Hernandez; 3 special nieces he called his girls, Jennalee, Breanna, and Christina Sandoval of Albuquerque; aunts and uncles, (Nina and Nino) Sally and Luis Eres of Albuquerque; a special uncle and best friend, Gerald Ortiz (Yvonne) of Chimayo, Darlene Gosser (Tom) of Big Timber MT, Dianna and David DeBusk of Monmouth, OR, Jack Course of Monmouth, OR; a close cousin he considered a brother, Chris Gauna of Chimayo; special cousin, Alexandria Ortiz (Edwin) of Chimayo, and numerous cousins and relatives. Services are pending at this time. The family of Ryan Course has entrusted the care of their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Espanola Valley.
