COURTESY ANNOUNCEMENT
Melvin Manuel Maestas, 66 of Hernandez, NM, passed away on August 22, 2025. Born on January 4, 1959 in Espanola, NM. He was a loving son, brother, grandfather, friend, and most importantly a father.
Melvin was a hardworking man, often holding more than one job at a time while running his own business Mel's Carpet Cleaning. He was known for his positive attitude and dedication in the workplace, no matter the task.

In his later years, he lovingly helped care for his mother and always knew how to act silly to get a laugh out of her. He was also helpful in lending a hand to his father with daily tasks. His stories, humor, and love leave a void in our hearts but they will be forever remembered.
He was proceeded in death by his brother Leo Anthony Maestas and his son Joe Maestas.
