Melvin Baca

Melvin Mark Baca, 57, of Ojo Caliente, NM was born December 21, 1961 and was called home by his creator on November 13, 2019.  He was preceded in death by his sister Darlene Baca; step father Fernando Alire; grandparents Pedro Juan and Elosia Baca; in-laws John and Elizabeth Montoya.  Melvin was employed with the El Dorado Hotel in Santa Fe for many years.  He is survived by his loving wife Roseann Baca; son Juan Baca; daughter Katrina Baca all of Ojo Caliente; mother Clarabelle Alire; brothers Joe Baca, Danny Baca (Susan); sisters Lisa Martinez (Jose Sanchez), Rachel Perez(Miguel); sister-in-law Mary Smith (Jerry Spalding); brothers-in-law Robert Montoya, James Montoya (Jan); plus many relatives, family and friends. Public visitation will begin on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory, with a devotional service to follow at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. also in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory, with a burial to follow at the Ojo Caliente Cemetery. Serving the family as pallbearers are Herbey Rubio, Robert Trejo, Danny Baca, Joe Baca, Antonio Lopez, and Sergio Silva.
