MARY JEAN MADRID, 59, a resident of San Pedro, passed away on Friday, February 27, 2015 following a brief illness with her loving family at her side. She was preceded in death by her parents, Antonio and Adelina Sisneros; sister, Ramona Salaz; brother, Waldo Lopez; nephew, Joey Quintana; great-nephew, Wayne Shaw and aunt, Clara Tafoya. Mary Jean had a never ending love for her husband, Medardo, the love they had was unconditional. She loved her family very much, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She took pride in her huge collection of DVDs, she had enough to make her own rental business. She was a home body but was always there for her family and friends whenever needed. She had a laugh that would make you laugh whether you wanted to or not. That is one special thing we are going to miss. Mrs. Madrid is survived by her loving husband, Medardo Madrid; daughters, Monica Molina and husband Sergio of El Llano, Francine Romero and fiancé Orlando Archuleta of Ranchitos and Linda Garcia of San Pedro; sisters, Flora Quintana and husband Joe of Santa Fe, Martha Largo of Española, Lydia Mares of Antonito, Colorado, Josephine Valencia and husband Marty of Chama; half-brother, Phillip Largo of Dulce; grandchildren, Leland Romero, Alisha Romero and companion Juan of Ranchitos, Tobias Romero of Ranchitos, Catherine Romero, Sergio Molina, Jr. and companion Melissa Armijo of El Llano, Anahi Molina of El Llano, Sarah Archuleta of Ranchitos and Leon Archuleta of Ranchitos; great-grandchildren, Jeramiah Romero of El Llano and Julianna Garcia of San Pedro; God-daughters, Amanda Martinez and Marisol Madrid of Santa Fe; best friend, Bernie Vigil of Chimayo and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Thursday, March 5, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated on Friday, March 6, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Cañada. Burial to follow at the Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Santa Cruz with the following serving as pallbearers, Sergio Molina, Sr., Sergio Molina, Jr., Antonio Archuleta, Leland Romero, Jr., Jose Soliz and Clarence Martinez. Honorary pallbearers will be all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family of Mary Jean Madrid has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
