Mary Agnes Olguin

Mary Agnes Olguin, 94, decided that it was time to join her loved ones in heaven on January 6, 2023.

Mary (known to her family and closest friends as Inez) was born on the family dairy farm between La Veta and Walsenburg, Colorado by the beautiful Spanish Peaks on May 15, 1928.

Mary and Al moved to White Rock, New Mexico in September of 2003 to be closer to their daughter and her family. Mary's time was spent doing alterations for clients throughout White Rock and Los Alamos.

In 2018, Mary went to live at Beehive Homes in White Rock. She was predeceased by her husband, Alfonso Olguin, daughter, Laurie, her parents, Amarante and Sinferosa Pacheco-Maldonado, her four sisters and five brothers, and many nephews and nieces. She was the last surviving sibling.

Mary is survived by her daughter Janis (husband Floyd Gallegos), grand-daughters, Laurie Gallegos (Vince Marciano) and Lana (Bill Kelt), great-grandchildren, Aletta (fiance' Alex), Vincent and Dylan Marciano, and Ethan and Logan Kelt.

Per Mary's request, cremation will take place and she will be interred with Al at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.

The family will would like to thank Beehive Homes of White Rock with a special thanks to caregivers, Samantha, Angel, Amber, and Chloe for their compassion and loving care. Thanks is also given to Ambercare Hospice for their care during her time of need.

A Catholic mass will take place at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Los Alamos, NM on January 26, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. and burial will follow at Santa Fe National Burial at 1:30 p.m.
