Mary Frances Huffman

November 14, 1943 – October 6, 2026

Mary Frances Huffman, 82, a lifelong resident of northern New Mexico, passed away on October 6, 2026, at St. Michael’s Namaste House in San Juan County. She was born on November 14, 1943, in Tapicitos, New Mexico, to Claude Huffman and Ola Syer, and spent her life in the Rio Arriba County area she called home.

Mary never married and was preceded in death by her parents and her two older brothers, John and George. She worked for more than 20 years at Jemez Mountain Electric Cooperative, where her dedication and commitment were recognized when she received the company’s Most Loyal Employee Award. Those who knew her remember her as a steady, hardworking presence in her community.

In her later years, Mary resided at St. Michael’s Namaste House, where she received care until her passing.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on November 28, 2026, at the Lindrith, New Mexico, cemetery.
