Mary Gallegos

Mary R. Gallegos, a resident of Chili, New Mexico went to be with her heavenly father on Sunday, February 6, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her parents  Epifanio & Leanor Roybal of El Rancho, New Mexico. Her grandparents Jose De La Cruz and Maximana Roybal. Her husband Luciano Gallegos. Two sons, Phil & Jesse Gallegos. Daughter, Diolinda “Marie” Gallegos. Grand-daughter, Alisha Montoya.

Mary was born on February 25, 1939. She loved being outdoors tending to her flowers in the summer. She enjoyed being with her family playing Bingo and other games. She had a passion for arts and crafts. She loved making jewelry and doing her embroidery. She was always proud of her work and would get excited when she would finish her projects. She often gave her finished projects to her children, grandchildren and sometimes people she just met. She always had a smile on her face and was always laughing. She will be missed by the many lives she has touched.

Mary is survived by her children Angela Montoya, Eppie (Inez) Gallegos, Shirley Torrey (Lupe).Jeffrey “Eloy” Gallegos. Brothers, Alfredo (Amy) Roybal, Florian Roybal. Sisters, Rosabella Perez, Siria (Louis) Salazar. Sister in law Cres (Leo) Sanchez and all of her Grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The family of Mary R. Gallegos would like to thank Ella Lujan for all her help and generosity. The family would also like to thank the Serrano family for their prayers, love and support during this difficult time. Cremation has taken place and a private gathering will be at a later date.
