Mary - Age 86 - Ranchitos Bustos

MARY A. “ALBINA” BUSTOS, 86, a resident of Ranchitos, passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2011 following a lengthy illness. She was preceded in death by her husband, Delfin Bustos; brothers, Willie and Joe Herrera and half-sister, Cleo Ortiz. Mary was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and friend. She was known as “Grandma Mary” to all. She enjoyed attending the Española Senior Center and the many functions offered. She loved to dance, play bingo and go to the casino. Mrs. Bustos is survived by her children, Linda Andrew and husband Maurice of Socorro, Evangeline Archuleta and husband Harold of Rio Rancho, Elmer Bustos and wife Joyce of Santa Fe, Viola Herrera and husband Lou of Albuquerque and Robert Bustos of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Angela Andrew, LuAnna Cordova and husband Art, Kristina Ortiz and companion Ramon, Maurice Andrew Jr., Melissa and Lynette Bustos, Christie Herrera and Alyshia Bustos; great-grandchildren, Michael and Savannah Armijo, Jessica Martinez, Nathan and Sydney Cordova, Joseph Fernandez, Amanda Sandoval, Jalyn Ortiz, Melody, Brian and Gabriel Andrew and Trinity Whittington; great-great-granddaughter, Nia Kylee Cordova; brothers, Ciriaco Herrera and wife Bernie and Harold Herrera and wife Ernestine; sister, Grace Nyman and husband Bob; sister-in-law, Della Herrera and other relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at 6:30 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated on Thursday, May 26, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at la Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Cañada. Burial to follow at 12:45 p.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery serving as pallbearers: Leroy Bustos, Walter Herrera, Joe Josefick, Marvin Martinez, Michael Martinez and Enrique Martinez; honorary pallbearers will be all the grandchildren of Mary Bustos.
