Martin Gonzales

Martin “Greedy” Emilio Gonzales, a lifelong resident of El Guique, New Mexico has gone home to his Father on December 25, 2021, at the age of 60.

Martin was a loving son, brother, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, and so much more. He will be dearly missed and often remembered for his warming smile.

From a young age, Greedy was always adventurous and looking for a challenge. He enjoyed being in the outdoors as much as possible. You could often find him in the wilderness fishing, camping, hunting, picking pinon, or hauling wood. Early on, he had a deep passion for cars. Martin cared for everyone, he was the person to call when you needed help or just someone to listen to you. He always showed up when it mattered.

Martin is proceeded in death by his father; Manuel Emilio Gonzales, his brothers; David, Jerry, and Mike Gonzales, his sister; Anna Voss, his sister-in-law; Loretta Gonzales, his daughter; Paula Garcia Martinez, his granddaughter; Bridgette Vigil, his great niece; Adrina Salazar, and his nephews; David Madrid and Michael Gonzales.

Martin is survived by his mother; Anna Gonzales, his sister; Pamela Madrid (Randy), his brothers; Joseph Gonzales (Debbie) and Lupe Gonzales, his children; Rosa Jaramillo, Martin Gonzales, and Toby Gonzales, his grandchildren; Amy Garcia, Jasmine Vigil, Leticia Gonzales, Heather Garcia, Jeff Martinez, James Garcia, Gabriella Martinez, Clarissa Jaramillo, and Alyna Gonzales, his great grandchildren; Damian, Sophie, and Adam Solorio, and his many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services for Martin will be held on January 4, 2022, at 10 AM at the San Juan Bautista Catholic Church. Following mass, we will lay him to rest at the San Rafael de El Guique Cemetery.
