Martha Lorraine Martinez

Martha Lorraine Martinez, age 71, a resident of Santa Fe and Dixon, New Mexico has unexpectedly passed away to a better life on March 6, 2021 in Denver, Co. Martha Lorraine was born in Embudo on June 28, 1949 to Tonie and Silas Martinez.

Martha Lorraine grew up in Dixon, NM. After moving to Santa Fe, she devoted 25 years of her life to the VA Commission. She was a beautiful lady that lived a kind and joyous life and encouraged us all to do the same. Martha Lorraine loved spending time with her family, shopping, and always had to have her “RED” lipstick handy. The bond she sharded with her mother Tonie was like no other. They were each other’s best friends and supporters in all of life’s happenings.

Martha Lorraine is survived by her mother Tonie Martinez, three brothers: Carl David and wife Nellie, Bert Kenneth, and Robert (Teto) Martinez. Aunt Cecelia and husband Norberto Blanco. Niece Melissa and husband Cordero. Nephew Andrew and Girlfriend Linda G. Great Nieces Jennifer, EmmaMari, and Great Nephew Eli. First cousin Phillip and wife Frances Griego, as well as many dear cousins, extended family, and friends.

Martha Lorraine was preceded in death by her father Silas Martinez, two brothers: Glen and Chris Martinez and nephew Frankie Martinez. Also, her maternal grandparents Junita and Emilio Griego and paternal grandparents Edumina and Luis Martinez. Honorable mention, her beloved dog Gus, whose remains will be combined with Martha Lorraine to be reunited for eternity.

A Catholic Mass will take place at 11:00 am on March 26, 2021 at the Saint Anthony Parish in Dixon for the immediate family only. Sadly, due to strict COVID-19 restrictions, only 35 people will be allowed in the parish to attend the mass. Thank you for your understanding.
