Marshay Marie Cata, age 28, a resident of Ohkay Owingeh Pueblo, passed away unexpectedly on September 19 2026.

Marshay was preceded in death her paternal grandparents Johnnie and Juanita Cata; maternal grandparents Tom and Luggie White. Marshay is also preceded in death by her father Mark Cata, mother Mildred White, aunts Yolanda White (God-mother) Ethel Murphy, JoAnn Youngbear and Joann Cata; uncles Benny Atenico, Jake Cata (God-father)

Marshay is survived by her children Remilee White-Martinez, Kenneth Jr. Pacheco and Reilen White; sister Markesha Cata (Brittany Esquibel); aunts Lorraine White (Norman) and Georgia Cata, uncle Tony White; special cousins Alaina White (Joe), Darla Stone and James Barela. 

Services for Marshay will take place on Monday, September 21, 2026, with a Private Wake at the family residents. 

Funeral will take place on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at 9:00 am at San Juan Catholic Church Burial to follow at the Ohkay Owingeh Cemetery

Serving the family as Pallbearers are Darryl Montoya, Daniel White-Montoya, Aiden White-Montoya, Isaiah Salazar, James Barela, Brittany Esquibel, Norman DeHerrera and Derick Calvert.

Honorary Pallbearers: Remi Ry Jr. and Jade Martinez.
