Marlene Lucero, 73, a resident of Espanola, New Mexico, passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2024, surrounded by her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents Gavino and Magdalena Chavez; maternal mother Grace Montoya; siblings Ermino Chavez, Joanne Gurule, Harold, Archie and Jackie Montoya.
She is survived by her husband Alfonso Lucero, daughter Geraldine (Geri) Lucero Torres, son Dion Lucero (Andrea Quintana); grandchildren Melinda Vigil (Derek), Marlina Sanchez (Jason), Marissa Vigil (Marcos), Antonio Quintana, Devin Lucero, Deegan Lucero; great-grandchildren Maliyah, Rylee, Brynlee, Mackenzie Vigil, Zaylyn, Jaythen and Skylyn Sanchez; brothers Antonio and Benny Montoya; brother-in-law Orlando Lucero and sister-in-law Fabbie Lucero, and numerous nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
A Rosary will be recited on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at 11:30 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Espanola, NM, with Mass to follow at 12:00 pm. Burial will take place on Thursday, October 17, 2024 at 10:30 am at the Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe, NM.
