Mark Age - 40 Truchas Lopez

MARK LOPEZ, 40, a resident of Truchas, passed away unexpectedly due to a motorcycle accident on Sunday, July 17, 2011. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jose G. Lopez; great-grandparents, Nicudemos and Pasculita Lopez Severiano Rodriguez and Luisita Cordova; uncle, Charles M. Lopez and cousin, Edwina Chavez. He was employed at the Los Alamos County for 20 years working for the Parks and Recreation Department. Mark loved his family and friends. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and the outdoors. Mr. Lopez is survived by his children, Marcus, Matthew and Tiffany Lopez; mother of his children, Sandra Herrera mother; Delma Maestas; grandmother, Mary Lopez sister, Eva Grant and companion Adrian Trujillo; brother, Francisco Maestas; uncle, Gene Lopez and wife Emily; aunt, Shirley Christensen and husband Thor; nieces and nephews, Cynthia and Evan Grant, Carlos Maestas and Adalyn Trujillo; cousins, Charlie Lopez, Geraldine Keane, Lawrence Lopez, Kenneth Christensen and Maryann Robertson; and numerous other relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Thursday, July 21, 2011 at 6:30 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated on Friday, July 22, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Truchas. Burial to follow at the Los Llanitos Catholic Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers, Matthew and Marcus Lopez, Francisco Maestas, Adrian Trujillo, Charlie and Lawrence Lopez, Kenneth Christensen and Jerome Montoya.
