Melva was born on November 12, 1945, and passed away on September 15, 2025.
She was preceded in death by her son, Steven G. Romero; parents, Isabelita G. Romero; brother, Raymond C. Romero; nephew, Jeremy Vigil; brother-in-law, Mike Vigil; and other close relatives.
She is survived by grandchildren, Carlos (Megan), brother, Danny (Debbie), sister’s Ruby and Sylvia (Roman), and Jessie. And all of her God Children, nieces, nephers, relatives, and close friends including close friend, Gilbert Martinez.
She lived her life in Santo Nino also known as Santa Cruz. Melva graduated from Santa Cruz High School as a Crusader. After graduation she went onto further her schooling. She had various jobs but then landed a great job at the local Gas Company where she finally retired. There she grew and made many friends with bosses and co-workers, plus all the customers.
With relatives, uncles, aunts, cousins, neighbors, friends there was nothing but respect for one and all. Teaching and examples from our parents especially our faith and love for God Our Father and Our Blessed Mother Virgin Mary. All our Catholic upbringing. Especially in our journey to leave this life in death, Melva lived such a hard-working and fun-filled life. She enjoyed music, dancing, and spending time with her grandkids.
She lost her son Steven and life was not the same anymore, but with her grandkids she tried her best ti keep going even though with her broken heart. She hurt so much.
All her suffering in her last days and hours were so sad but now she is resting in peace. For one and all thank you for all your prayers and best wishes.
