Maria Lucero

Maria Olivama Lucero, our beautiful mama Maria was born April 23, 1947, in Chama New Mexico.  To Jose and Antonia Gutierrez.  Maria is now dancing in heaven with the love of her life Cristoval Lucero, to whom she was married to for 50 years.

They were also blessed with 6 children: Cristina Lucero (Chama) Sandra Lucero (Farmington) Abigail Gonzales and Son in Law Daniel Gonzales (Chama) Alex Lucero & Micha Gomez (Dulce) Phillipe & Alley Lucero (Bloomfield) Horacio & Charmaine Lucero (Farmington) and a special granddaughter they raised Jessica Lucero (Pagosa)

21 grandchildren: Jessica Lucero, Daniel King, Andrea King, Erwin King Jr., Elvin King, Nicole Lucero, Michael Quintana, Jose Sanchez, Danielle Gonzales, Jasmine Gonzales, Angel Acosta, Eloisa Lucero, Elena Lucero, Alex Lucero Jr. Alancia Herrera, Antonio Herrera, Eliana Herrera, Mariana Lucero, Savana Lucero, Fabiana Lucero, Matias Lucero, Phillipe Lucero Jr., Xylus Montoya, Gracie Montoya, Rubee Lucero, Wyatt Lucero, Horacio Lucero Jr., Bersayus Lucero.

Maria has 34 great grandchildren and a special little angel on the way.. Maria is also survived by 8 siblings, Rose Valdez, Sadie Thompson, Theresa Brown, Robert Gutierrez, Angie Serrano, Fermin Gutierrez, Josephine Hargrove, Evelyn DeCosta.

Maria is proceeded in death by her loving husband Cristoval Lucero, father Jose Gutierrez, Mother Antonia Gutierrez, brother Horacio Gutierrez, 2 nieces Rhonda Gutierrez and Vicky Valdez and many other family members.

Funeral Services for Maria Lucero:

Family viewing on September 02, 2022, at DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory in Espanola, NM in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel at 10:00 a.m. and the public viewing will be from 10:45 a.m.-11:30a.m. On September 03, 2022 at 9:00a,m. the rosary will be at the St. Francis Church in Lumberton, NM and mass at 10:00 am and family reception following at the St. Francis Gym.

The family has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory.
