MARGARITO GONZALES, 93, a resident of Albuquerque formally of Dixon, passed away on Wednesday, March 8, 2017. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nary Gonzales; parents, Leonores and Gavino Gonzales; son, Luis Filadelfio Gonzales, daughter, Rosana Maestas; sister, Beatrice Archuleta; in-laws, Abran and Ofrendo and Christina Romero and several nephews. Margarito was a loving father and grandfather who cared for his family dearly. He was a hard worker. He worked many years as a custodian. He enjoyed spending time at the Casino, and was known for being a prankster and was always playing jokes on people. Most of all was a loving friend to anyone who was a part of his life. He is survived by his children, Richard Gonzales of Albuquerque, Clarence Gonzales (Juanita Mora) of Albuquerque, Gilbert Gonzales of Dixon, Cindy Brito (Halbert) of Espanola and Betty Alderete (Mace) of Espanola, son-in-law Paul Maestas of Dixon, 11 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren and numerous relatives and friends who he loved dearly. A Memorial Service will be held at the Embudo Presbyterian Church in Dixon at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 18, 2017. Burial to take place at a later date.
