Margaret - Age 29 - Ohkay Owingeh - Abeyta

MARGARET “ELENA” ABEYTA, 29, a resident of Ohkay Owingeh, passed away on Thursday, July 22, 2010. She was preceded in death by her father, Elmer Paul Abeyta Sr. and brother, Ira Rodney Cata. Ms. Abeyta is survived by her mother, Rebecca Cata Abeyta and step-father, Joe Gonzales; children, Regina Cata and Santiago Gallegos; fiancé, George Gallegos; brother, Elmer “Boy” Abeyta; sister, Amanda Rdoriguez; niece, Rosalynn Martinez; nephew, Matthew Rodney Cruz; God-mother, Tonita Martinez and numerous uncles, aunts and other relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited on Friday, July 23, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at Rebecca Abeyta residence in Ohkay Owingeh. Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated on Saturday, July 24, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh. Burial to follow at the Ohkay Owingeh Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers, Adam Cata, John Trujillo, Joseph “Sonny” Trujillo, Elmer “Boy” Abeyta, Michael Cruz, Jose Trujillo, Kyle Chee, J.J. Trujillo, Alan Abeyta, Alfred Maestas, Jeremy Martinez, Limbert Martinez, Paul Abeyta and Joe “Little” Martinez. The Abeyta family has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
