Marcelino F. Age - 86 - La Mesilla Quintana

Marcelino F. Quintana, 86, a resident of La Mesilla passed away on Tuesday, January 8, 2013. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 66 years, Berlina Quintana on October 17, 2012; parents, Jose Dolores and Benita Quintana; brother, Richard Quintana of Fairview; sister, Mela Velarde of El Llano. Marcelino is survived by his sisters: Gertrude Baros of Santa Cruz and Higinia Rodriguez of Fairview. The loving father of: Paul, Pauline, Dolores and Stephanie. He had two loving sons-in-law: Tony Marquez and Kevin Montoya; seven grandchildren: Chris, Patrick, Thomas, Maricia, Ian, Sara and Marlina; two great-grandchildren: Cruz and Santyana. A rosary will be recited on Monday, January 14, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Cañada. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Cañada with burial to follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 12:45 p.m. with the following to serve as pallbearers: Richard Quintana, Orlando Archuleta, Peter Velarde, Richard Dickie Garcia, Manuel and Eliseo Quintana; honorary pallbearers: Chris, Patrick and Thomas Quintana, Ian and Sara Marquez, Maricia O’Keeffe, Marlina Montoya, Cruz Quintana, Santyana Quintana, Charlene Ortega, Susie Sanchez and Larry Gurule, and all of his nieces & nephews. The family of Marcelino F. Quintana have entrusted the care of their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
