Manuelita Lopez

Manuelita “Mellie” Olivama Medina Lopez, 91.  Our beloved mom, grandma, aunt and Nina passed away peacefully on December 6, 2022. Born November 21, 1931, in Llano de San Juan, NM.  Attended San Juan de Nepomuceno Catholic Church in Llano de San Juan.  Mellie’s life revolved around her Catholic faith and her family.

Mellie is survived by her daughter Shirley Lopez Anglada (Albert), son Joshua Lopez and Leland Lopez (Michelle), sisters Ruth Martinez, Claudie Valdez and Flora Quintana,  brother Nelson Medina; 8 Grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband Josue L. Lopez, brother Nelson Medina and parents Onesimo and Fidencia Medina.  

Funeral services (Hermanos Rosary, Eulogy and Mass) will be held on Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at San Antonio De Padua Church in Penasco, NM at 9:00 am. Mellie will be laid to rest with her beloved husband of 64 years, Josue L. Lopez, on Thursday, December 15, 2022 at 12:30 pm at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
