Louis Mathew Martinez

d. January 17, 2023

Florida

Louie Mathew Martinez, 23, unexpectedly passed away Tuesday, January 17th, 2023. Louie was born July 24th, 1999, in Espanola, to his mother Lucia Herrera and father Louie Martinez. He is survived by his two brothers, Joshua, and Owen, two sisters, Anika, and Mila, his mother, two nephews, Greyson and Haidyn, maternal grandmother Frieda, paternal grandmother Lena Martinez, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Louie is preceded in death by his father, maternal grandfather Donald Gonzales, and paternal grandfather Maguin Romero.
He was currently living in West Palm Beach Florida and was exploring many of his passions, one being his love for cooking as sous-chef at a local seafood restaurant. Louie delved into his lifelong enthusiasm for entrepreneurship. While in Florida, he was able to open a gourmet lemonade stand along the beach. He also began an online entrepreneur business that he was spending countless hours establishing. He was eager to grow his entrepreneurship work and see where it led him. Aside from work, Louie often spoke about the friends he had made in Florida and the support he received from them. They were his family away from home. When not working he spent much of his time swimming at the local beaches and enjoyed fishing. He was eager to continue traveling and planned to live in different states and talked about wanting to move to Maine at some point in the future.
As the oldest, Louie made it a priority to continually guide and protect his younger siblings and spent much of his youth playing outdoors with his younger brothers. He loved playing soccer and played on teams with his uncle and aunt, Elias and Elena, and brother Josh. His love for sports continued to grow, later playing football where he excelled. He would often catch people by surprise with his unexpected speed on the field.
Louie had a way of bringing the best out of everyone around him and developed many lifelong friendships along the way. He took great pride in his family and at an early age became everyone’s greatest ally. He offered unconditional love without expecting anything in return. He was best known for storytelling and ability to make everybody laugh. His infectious smile immediately brightened the room. He was the type of person you could talk to about everything and nothing all at the same time.
Louie had a strong set of morals and values that he stuck to throughout his life. He lived life with a continuously positive disposition, eager to embrace any challenge he faced.
