Louella Gutierrez

Louella M. Gutierrez, 62 , originally of Petaca, NM and resided in Ojo Caliente, NM, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2021 at her home surrounded by family. She is preceded in death by her parents, Max and Stella Torrez, sister Clorinda Torrez and brother Michael Torrez, Sr.

Louella was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She graduated from Mesa Vista High School in May of 1977. She met and married the love of her life, Flaviano Gutierrez in 1979. Together, they had two beautiful children, Elbert Gutierrez and Yvette Gutierrez, both of Ojo Caliente, NM. Shortly after marrying, she began her first career with the United States Postal Service and then followed by her last career with the Los Alamos National Laboratories where she remained for 15 years. Louella was active in the lives o her grandchildren, Luke (14) and Dani (13), whom were her pride and joy.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Flaviano; son Elbert and daughter Yvette (Noel); grandchildren Luke and Dani; sister Ida Herrera (Johnny) of El Rito, Leo Torrez (Roberta) of Alcalde, Louie Torrez of Petaca and sister-in-law Beverly Torrez of Espanola. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Serving as pallbearers: Elbert Gutierrez, Louie Torrez, Leo Torrez, Peter Gonzales, Louis Torrez, Julie Gallegos.

Honorary Pallbearers will be: Clorinda Cordova, Karyn Herrera, Dani Manzanares, Luke Manzanares, Ida Herrera, Darlene Baros, Josie Gutierrez, Mae Gonzales, Cordy Sisneros, Noel Chacon, and April Montoya.

Services will take place on Friday, September 3rd, 2021 at 11:00 am at the La Petaca Catholic Cemetery.
