Lorraine Espinoza

Lorraine B Espinoza, age 65, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family. She was called to be with our Heavenly Father on Sunday, February 13, 2022. She was born to Guillermo M. Espinoza and Celerina D. Espinoza of Chimayo, NM on April 5, 1956. Lorraine was born in Espanola, NM but was raised in Chimayo, NM. She attended Espanola Valley High School and graduated in 1976. She helped raise her siblings and after 21 years she moved on to start a family of her own. She then had 3 children of her own, who she adored and loved wholeheartedly. She was so happy and proud of the children she raised and was so excited when she became a grandmother/great grandmother. Lorraine loved being around her family as they meant the most to her. She loved gardening, being there for others, and loved making God’s eyes, and giving them away as gifts she considered blessings. Lorraine is survived by her 3 children, Ignacio D. Sanchez, Christina L. Sanchez, and Alexandria M. Sanchez. She is also survived by her 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Shawn Barrela Sanchez, Ignancio Sanchez, Jr., Ashley R. Delvo ,Angelique E. Delvo, Mariah Archuleta, Mario Archuleta Jr. , Marcus Archuleta, Monique Archuleta, Andrea Vigil, Adrianna Lara, Gabriel Sanchez; great-grandchildren: Maribel and Lailyanna Lara , Azaleah Lara. Her brothers; John G. Espinoza and wife Shahira, Camilo J. Espinoza and wife Brenda, Audoro Espinoza and wife Jennifer, Mario J. Espinoza, Emanuel A. Espinoza, and sister Lucille Espinoza DeVargas and husband Ron, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents Guillermo M. Espinoza, Celerina D. Espinoza and her brother Raphael H. Espinoza.

A public visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on February 28, 2022, in the Sangre De Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory and a wake will follow at 7:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. at Santa Cruz de la Cañada Catholic Church, and burial will immediately follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. If you are not feeling well, please stay home and express your condolences to the family in another way. Those wishing to send flowers should send them to the mortuary by Monday, February 28th at 1:00 pm in order to transport them to both services. We thank you in advance.

Serving as pallbearers are Ignancio Sanchez, Shawn Barela-Sanchez, Raphael Espinoza, Jr., Luis Mendez, Audoro Espinoza , Camilo J. Espinoza.

Honorary pallbearers are all grandkids and great-grandkids. We extend our appreciation and gratitude to all our family and friends for your prayers, generosity, and being with us through this difficult time in our lives.
