Lorenza Martinez

LORENZA MARTINEZ, 68, a resident of Espanola, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, December 28, 2022.

Lorenza is survived by her husband of 49 years, Frankie Martinez; daughter Tracy Martinez; granddaughters Amber Vigil (Adrian), Brandy Vigil (Andres) and Sabryna Garcia; grandson Dion Vigil; great grandsons Ayden and Aaron; sisters, Clara and husband Savino Talavera, Nadine and husband Serafin Aragon, Jeanette and husband Michael Gray, and Sally Chavez; brothers Joseph Fresquez, Anthony Trujillo and numerous relatives and friends.

Lorenza was preceded in death by her mother, Frances Fresquez; father, Frank Fresquez; sister Diana Fresquez; grandson Frankie Jerome Vigil; nephews Phillip Fresquez, Archie Fresquez, Leo Chavez, and niece; LouAnn Chavez; brothers-in-law’s David Chavez, Harold Vigil; father-in-law Eliseo Martinez and mother -in -law Martha Martinez.

She worked for 25 plus years at LANL/Kleen Tech as a custodian and was very proud of her work. She enjoyed spending time at the casino with good friends and making new ones.

Lorenza loved life, especially spending time with her grandkids. Her family was everything to her she worried over and took care of them until the end, sometimes to the exclusion of her own needs. Lorenza showed us what strength is and what it means. She pushed through so much pain while remaining positive and comforting to those around her.

The family of Lorenza would like to extend their thanks and prayers for all your support during our difficult time.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday January 7, 2023 at 1:00 pm at Victory Faith Church in Espanola, NM.
