Linda Jaramillo

d. March 1, 2022

Linda Kaye Jaramillo, 79, passed away on Tuesday, March 1st at Presbyterian Hospital in Espanola, with loving family by her side.

Linda was born on July 26, 1942 in Appleton, Missouri, to Lewis and Marjorie Teetor. Linda loved spending time with her family, keeping up with the NBA (especially the Spurs), and of course talking to her grandchildren and friends over the phone.

When Linda was 4 years old, she moved with her family to Madrid, New Mexico. They lived there for almost two years before moving to Los Alamos, New Mexico. Linda graduated from Los Alamos High School in 1960.

Linda married Arthur Jaramillo on January 6, 1962; they were married for 53 years. Shortly after marriage they had two daughters: Valerie and Arleen.

Linda worked at Pojoaque High School for 31 years. While there, she worked in special education, the main high school office, and several sporting events. She enjoyed her time working with the students and staff at Pojoaque High School. She made several lifelong friendships over the course of her career and is remembered fondly by the Pojoaque community. Linda’s most treasured friendship was with Loyola Trujillo, her best friend of over 40 years.

Linda is survived by her children, Valerie Jaramillo and Arleen Jaramillo; her grandchildren, Jacquelyne Martinez and her husband Nicholas Martinez, Andrew Jaramillo and his partner Shayna Roybal, and Matthew Gallegos; two great grandchildren, Selena and Zachary Martinez; and many, many friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Arthur Jaramillo, her parents Lewis and Marjorie Teetor, her sisters Margie Merrill and Dixie King, and her brother Terry Teetor.

Linda will be missed dearly by her family and will especially be remembered for her continuous love and support for all of us.

Our family would like to invite you to celebrate the life of Linda Kaye Jaramillo on Wednesday, March 30th at 6:00 pm at DeVargas Funeral home in Española.
