Liberato "Libby" Garcia

Liberato “Libby” Garcia, 45, beloved Husband, Father, and Grandfather was called to his eternal resting place in Abiquiu, New Mexico on October 1, 2022. He was born June 15, 1977 in Los Alamos, NM to Theodore Garcia and Sandra Suazo.

Libby grew up in Abiquiu, New Mexico and spent most of his life there. Many family and friends will remember his sense of humor and hard working demeanor.

Libby had his own way of making everyone laugh through toughest times and through the most happiest moments. He carried a smile with him everywhere he went and was always making jokes, no matter the occasion. He brightened every room with his smile and great personality. If you knew Libby or just met him, he always left everyone with a good impression. He loved helping any way he could; with all his work experience; there was nothing he couldn’t do. One thing everyone knew is once you call him, he was there in minutes. Libby loved spending time with his family; whether it was riding to the mountains in his truck or attending a special occasion; he always made it a good time and a great memory.  His memory will carry on with all of us. 

He is survived by his wife, Ninfa Vela-Garcia, his children; Justine Garcia, Liberty Garcia, Liberato “Junior” Garcia Jr and Aalijah Garcia. His parents; Theodore Garcia and Sandra Suazo and siblings; Andrea Garcia (Luis) and Eileen Garcia (Ruben). Libby will be lovingly remembered by his 3 grandchildren Leilani, Diego, Natalie, and 1 granddaughter Audra on the way. Libby will also be fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, extended family and dear friends.

Visitation/Rosary will be held on Monday, October 10, 2022, at Saint Thomas the Apostle Catholic Parish in Abiquiu, NM; Viewing, at 6:00 pm. Followed by Rosary at 7pm. Mass will be held October 11, 2022, at the Saint Thomas the Apostle Catholic Parish in Abiquiu, NM at 10:00 am. Followed by burial at the Abiquiu Cemetery.
