Leroy Alfredo Romero, 79, of Llano Quemado, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family on Friday, March 17, 2017.
Leroy Romero was born on May 14th 1936. He was preceded in death by his mother Epifania Mondragon Romero, Father Alfredo Romero; step mother Simonita Sanchez, Romero; sisters, Candida Romero Cordova, Claudina Romero Fresquez, brothers, Elizardo Romero; sisters In law, Elsie Romero, Marcia Romero, and brother in-law, Jose G Cordova.
Leroy Romero is survived by his wife Rogeria Rael Romero; step son, Dennis Mecham (Denise); grandchildren, Casandra, Desiree and Marcos Mecham; brothers, Filiberto Romero of Valdez, Juan Trinidad Romero, Joe Nerio Cordova (Margie) and God son Darren Cordova (Brenda) of Taos; special friends, Helen Archuleta and Dolores Manzanares of Taos and many other nieces, nephews, great grandchildren and relatives.
A rosary will be recited on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Taos. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. also at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Taos, with a burial to interment immediately following at the llano Quemado cemetery.
