LeRoy Martinez

Our beloved LeRoy Martinez entered this world on June 7, 1981, in Los Alamos, NM, and tragically left us on May 31, 2024, at the age of 42, surrounded by his family.

LeRoy will be loved and greatly missed by all who knew him. He was a spiritual man who loved our Lord. His legacy of love and kindness will live on through his family and all those whose lives he touched.

He was preceded in death by maternal grandmother Carolina (Carrie) Lopez; paternal grandfather Pedro Martinez; uncles and aunts LeRoy and Jimmy Lopez and Valerie Lopez Trujillo; Godfather Russel Martinez, Dennis Martinez, Lucille and Wrentcho Tilley, Maxine Nevarez, Enrique Fernandez, Tim Trujillo and Urban Salazar; cousins Gilbert and Kimberly.

He is survived by his parents Ruth Lopez (El Llano) and Jimmy Martinez (El Guique); best friend and fur baby Milo; Monica Martinez (partner); children Gabrielle and Noah Vigil, Jaden Romero;  maternal grandfather Horacio Lopez; paternal grandmother Dolores Martinez; Javin Lujan who was like a brother; Godsisters Kendall Lujan, Ashley Vigil and Amorette Vigil; uncles and aunts David Lopez (Diane), Godmother Jackie Martinez, Peggy Lopez (Shane), Tracy and James Lujan, Alex Martinez, Charlene Fernandez, Floyd Martinez, Linda and Tony Cordova, Dolores Salazar, Adela Trujillo, Sandra Martinez Trujillo; numerous cousins, relatives and friends.  

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday June 20, 2024, at 11:00 am at the San Juan Bautista Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh and burial will follow at the San Rafeal Cemetery in El Guique, NM.

Serving as Pallbearers are Javin Lujan, James Lujan, James Lujan Jr., David Lopez Jr., Jaime Chavez and Kenneth Vigil.  Honorary Pallbearers are Joseph Norris, AmberSky Lujan, Dillon Trujillo, Ruby Back, Kendall Lujan, Lekeisha Martin, Ashley Vigil and cousins.

The family and I would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude for all the kind words and support during this time.
