Leroy Jaramillo

Leroy J. Jaramillo, 45, a resident of Espanola originally of Youngsville, was called home to be with the Lord on March 15, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. Leroy will always be remembered by his genuine outgoing personality and his loving spirit.  He enjoyed cruising his lowrider, going to car shows, he enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and being with his friends and family.  He made new friends everywhere he went and loved to talk and make conversation with anyone and everyone.  He was always willing to help in anyway he could.  He was preceded in death by his Father, Jimmy Montoya, Grandparents: Jose Ernesto and Virginia Jaramillo and Raymond Wheeler, Uncles; Clifford Jaramillo, Robert Sandoval, Harry Martinez, and Rocky Wheeler, Cousins; James and Alfred Jaramillo. Godparents Jose Endalesmo and Manuelita Trujillo.  Leroy is survived by his Mother, Debra Wheeler and his Step-Father, Anthony ”Wheeler”, Sisters, Jessica Jaramillo (Jerome), Nadine Chavez (Rick); Nieces, Alycia Archibeque, Camila DeVargas, Sienna Jaramillo and Alexis Archuleta and Nephews, Lukus Archibeque, and Zayn Jaramillo; Grandma, Lydia Wheeler; Aunts, Louisa Pacheco (Daniel), Patricia Jaramillo, Nieves Velasquez (Norris), Carlota Martinez, Geraldine Jaramillo, Theresa Herrera (Gilbert), Angie Maestas; Uncles, Chon Jaramillo (Lupita), Tomas Jaramillo (Dolores), Freddie Jaramillo (Rosa), Raymond Wheeler (Carol), Johnny Wheeler (Patricia), Danny Wheeler (Andrea); Cousins, Connie Martinez, Gene and Derek Jaramillo, Crystal and Troy Montoya, Pamela and Armando Jaramillo, Dwight Jaramillo, Jonathan and Frieda Martinez, Robert Jr., Sherrie and Adrian Sandoval, Santiago Martinez, Brandon, Desiree, Kenneth, Meagan and Victoria Wheeler, Jacqueline Munoz and many other cousins, relatives and friends. Special thank you to Annette Gallegos, for the care she gave him for many years and his Tia Carlota for all her love and tender care. Trish, Gracie, Emily and Janice with Ambercare Hospice and the wound care clinic at Christis St. Vincent. The family would also like to thank everyone that helped Leroy in any way they could.  Those acts of kindness were greatly appreciated.  A public visitation will begin On Thursday, March 18, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the Sangre De Cristo Chapel at DeVargas Funeral Home and Crematory with a Rosary at 1:00 p.m. at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Canada, with a mass to follow at 1:30 p.m.  Burial will be held at the Youngsville Community Cemetery.  Serving the family as pallbearers are Lukus Archibeque, Troy Montoya, Derek Jaramillo, Rick Chavez, Dwight Jaramillo, and Gene Jaramillo. Honorary Pallbearers are Marilyn Montoya, Aaron Garcia, Neal Chacon, Stanley Cata, and all his nieces, nephews, and cousins.  The Family of Leroy Jaramillo has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Espanola Valley.
