Leon Ortiz

Leon L. Ortiz, 59, of Cuyamungue, NM, passed away on February 5, 2024.

Leon is preceded in death by his father Richard “Dickie” Ortiz.  

Leon is survived by his mother Sally Ortiz, brother Eugene Ortiz, sister Melissa (Darren), and nephews/nieces whom he boasted about and loved with all his heart; Jesse Ortiz (Sammi), Jenna Trujillo (Orlando), Adan Ortiz, Adrianna Quintana (Isaiah), and Jeremy Quintana.  He was blessed to share his love with his great nephews Isaiah and Uriah Trujillo and Eli Ortiz.  He was also survived by his Uncle Chendo Roybal (Nina), aunts Delia Roybal and Jenny Ortiz; along with numerous cousins and friends who adored and loved him dearly.  

Leon was a handy man and a master of all trades.   Leon’s talent, knowledge, and expertise will be greatly missed as he has left a void in our hearts.  Everyone who was lucky enough to know Leon, knows that he had a beautiful heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand.  Leon will always be in our memories, in our stories and in our hearts.   

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on February 22, 2024, at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Pojoaque, NM.  Burial will follow immediately at Pojoaque Catholic Cemetery in Pojoaque, NM.
