Laura Gonzales

Laura Antoinette Gonzales , 47, Born on October 15, 1973 in Espanola, N.M.  She went home to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on Friday, July 30, 2021.

Laura was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend; She was always a listening ear and she enjoyed the little things in life, you could always depend on her to cheer you up with her contagious laugh. Laura always enjoyed having company at her house, to entertain and enjoy home cooked meals. She loved interacting with her online clientele on her Paparazzi Jewelry live-streams, which we now cherish and often revisit to see and hear her voice and feel her presence. Laura has left behind many broken hearts, that are filled with beautiful memories.

She was preceded in death by her biological mother Susie Grijalva, her parents George and Atocha Gonzales, sister Josephine Grijalva, brothers Dennis, Elizario and James Gonzales.

She is survived by her beloved companion Tomas Mendez, daughters Rochelle (Joseph) and Robyn (Ramiro), father of her daughters Vernon Ortega, grandchildren Hermosa, Kruzito and upcoming baby Ezekiel. Siblings Lupe (Alonzo), Javier, Jr., “Harvey” (Jamie), George Jr. (Martha), Lorraine, Tommy (Mary), Floyd (Jenny), Lydia (Ruben), Geraldine (Gabriel), Hazel (Joseph), Half Sister, Carmel Dorame and Step Dad Jesus Grijalva, a very close cousin Debbie Jaramillo and many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

Serving as pallbearers are: Joey Salazar, Russell Trujillo, Curtis Valencia, Michael “Mikey” Vigil, Carmella Ortega, and Miguel “Camaron” Lopez, Honorary Pallbearers include her grandchildren, Hermosa Corral, Kruzito and Ezekiel Vigil, Debbie Jaramillo, Teresa Romero, Esterillta Martinez and Caitlin Grijalva.

A viewing will take place at 6:00 pm at the DeVargas Funeral Home of Espanola followed by a rosary at 7:00 pm on August 10th, 2021. Mass of the Christian Burial will take place at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church at 12.00 pm on August 11th, 2021 with burial to follow at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church Cemetery .
