Larry Lee Sanchez

Larry Lee Sanchez 90, of Velarde, NM passed away on November 21, 2024. Born on March 24, 1934, to Nicolas and Rosa Martinez. Larry grew up in Farmington, NM where he began crafting the vibrant and rich life for which he will always be remembered.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Nicolas Sanchez and Rosa Tafoya, his infant daughter Anita, his son Larry Craig, Daughter-in-law Barbara and his brothers Billy Sanchez, Nestor "Torry" Sanchez, Raymond Tafoya, Mark Tafoya, Abel Tafoya. 

Larry is survived by son's Nick, Jimmy (Emily), Antionio, and Elmo. Daughters Rose, Renee (John), Melissa, Andrea, and Michelle Rebecca (Ramon). Grandchildren Jennifer, Andre, Michele (Daniel), Victoria, Ivory, Dustin, Brandon, Maya, Santiago, Soledad, Leah (Stevie), Miquela (Joseph), Cierra (Carlos Ray), Anthony, Alex, Andrew, Maria Elena (Art), Jeremy (Julia), Santiago and Larry. Great Grandchildren Daniel, Diego, Dominique, Marlow, JB, Jacob, Amaya, Aria, Damien, Justin, Jordan, Emeliana, Jason, Jeremy, Matheus, and Jade. Brother: David (Jane) Tafoya, Sisters-in-law Dora Sanchez and Emma Tafoya. Numerous nieces, nephews and friends. 

Larry's legacy is one of dedication, creativity, and joy. He will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.

A rosary will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Velarde, NM, on December 7, 2024, at 10:00 am and a mass to immediately follow at 11:00 am. Burial to be at future date in Farmington, NM.
