Julie - Age 59 - Española Ziegler-Langille

Julie Ziegler-Langille – Age 59, a resident of the Española Valley, passed away on Sunday, June 27, 2010 following a sudden illness. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ken Langille; and her father, Dr. Samuel R. Ziegler. Julie Ziegler was a Farmers Insurance Agent and was Agent of the Year on several occasions and recipient of multiple awards. She was the first woman president of the Española Rotary Club, member of the Española Chamber of Commerce, Director of the Community Bank, and a member of the Española Valley View United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir. She and her husband Ken worked side by side in their business endeavors. Above all, she was an amazing mother, friend, mentor and companion. Her generosity and encouragement to others will be cherished forever! \r\nShe is survived by her mother, Isabel Ziegler of Española; her children: Lisa Day and husband Jared, Dustin Chavez and wife Karla of Albuquerque and Duane Chavez and wife Jessyca of Las Cruces; grandchildren: Patrick, Samantha and Kara Day and Kadence and Kendell Chavez; her two brothers: Capt. (Ret.) Samuel R. Ziegler, Jr. and wife Sandy of Shreveport, LA and Norman and wife Judy of Denver, CO; as well as Valley View Church family and her faithful employees; numerous nephews, nieces and other loving relatives and dear friends of the Española Valley and surrounding communities. \r\nJulie wished that at the time of her death her organs be donated. Her gifts have given life to three recipients. Her family is honored that she made such a choice. \r\nCremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory.
