Judy M. Martinez

With great sadness, Judy Martinez, beloved daughter, sister, partner, aunt, niece, cousin and friend passed away suddenly on October 7, 2022.  She was born in Espanola, NM on August 24, 1967 to Robert and Orlinda Martinez.  She is preceded in death by her father Robert (Presley) Martinez, grandparents Estevan and Ernestine Viarreal, Lina Valdez, bother Eric Martinez, sister-in-law Elaine Casias, great niece Audianna Martinez, aunts and uncles Joe Viarreal, Don Wright, Miguel Valdez, Esther Viarreal, Frank and Clara Romero, Juan and Sara Viarreal and Leroy Martinez.

She is survived by her mother Orlinda Martinez (companion Paul Sisneros), partner Pam Quihuis, her beloved dog Milo, nieces Erica Martinez (Vidal Fernandez), Veronica Martinez (Tilo Martinez), Lina Martinez (Chris Vargas), aunts and uncles Mary Wright, Elizaido and Victoria Viarreal, Teresa Valdez, Robert Viarreal (Josephine), Thomas and Jeanette Espinosa, Larry and Veronica Viarreal, Kenneth and Ida Viarreal, nieces and nephews Vidal Jr., Joel and Alexiana Fernandez, Tilo Jr., and Callen Martinez, Joscelynn Martinez, Jesus and Aubriella Alderete, Ezekiel and Amariz Vargas and many cousins and friends.

She touched many lives with her big heart and beautiful soul.  She was a very loving person and brought much joy, happiness, humor and love to the people around her.  She was truly a light in our lives.  She is already missed by many.  Judy and her mom were very close and she loved her mother so much, she would make sure to tell her every night "You sleep with the angels on your pillow tonight".  The love she had for her mom was evident in the way she spoke about her and how she admired her.

A Rosary will be prayed at 11:30 am on Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at Sacred Heart Parish in Espanola, NM.  A Mass will follow and the burial will take place at the San Jose Cemetery in Hernandez, NM.
