Judith Marie Sherwood February 25, 1954-May 20, 2026 72 years old, a resident of Chimayo, passed away on May 20, 2026 unexpectedly.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Jack Kenneth and Mabel M Sherwood; grandson Casey Michael Montoya IV, siblings, Leroy Sherwood, Faustino Gilbert Sherwood, Erma Montoya (Charlie), Kenneth "Carlos" aka "China" Sherwood, Dennis Sherwood, Patty Sherwood; nephews, Kevin Romero, Robert Trujillo, Michael Sherwood and Urban Quintana.
Judith recieved an Associates Degree in Human Services, one of her proudest moments and achievements in life. Judith loved all of her family and her babies (pups). She liked hanging out with her sister Debbie and going fishing on beautiful days with her. She liked doing her diamond art, she enjoyed her meetings at Jehovah Witness Kingdom Hall in Arroyo Seco, she liked staying busy doing chores around her home, working on her small gardens and she was the most awesome cook. Judith was a free spirit all her life from a young age all into her adulthood. Judith told it like it was, not because she intentionally wanted hurt anyone but because no one else had the courage to say what needed to be said. If Judith could help someone she would, she'd make sure you had what you needed even if it meant taking the shirt off her back to help someone. Judith was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
Judith is survived by her two children daughter Michelle M. Pacheco Lopez (Mark Herrera) & son Theodore Angelo Pacheco. Her fur babies Chantel, Spudo, Perla and Sky. Grandchildren Angelina M. Pacheco and Michael Pacheco. Her surviving siblings are, Corrine Martinez (Jerry), Albert Sherwood, Debbie Sherwood, Della Sherwood (Larry), Wayne Sherwood, Yolanda Sherwood (Jeremiah), Sammy Sherwood, and her God daughter Alexandra Sherwood (Daniel Lucero) and all of her nieces, nephews, and family ...
There will be no services as this was here wishes and a Burial will follow at the El Buen Pastor Presbyterian Cemetery in Chimayo, NM at a later time.
The family of Judith M “Judy” Sherwood has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home of the Española Valley 505-747-7477.
