Juan Marquez

Juan (Manuel) Marquez, age 50 and a resident of Medanales, NM, was welcomed into Heaven on July 3, 2022. Manuel passed away unexpectedly in a car accident on his way home.

Manuel was raised in Benito Juarez Chih, MX, where he met the love of his life Teresa Marquez and had his 3 Children Jorge, Marisol and Juan. He later came into the U.S where he brought his family for a better life. They called Espanola, NM home for many years where they then had 2 more children Lizbet and Alejandro. Manuel was a loving and hardworking man. He worked Construction and Landscaping most of his life. He loved being in the outdoors on camp days with his family, loved listening to music outside. He also enjoyed the outdoors riding ATV’s with his family and horseback riding with friends. He enjoyed going fishing on the weekends with his 3 sons who also love fishing. Manuel was a loving man who will remembered by many and will never be forgotten. Manuel is preceded in death by his Mother Maria Elena Marquez Lopez, His adoptive father (Uncle) Guadalupe Enriquez, his grandparents Guadalupe Villescas, Vicente Marquez, Hilberto Marquez and Canuta Lopez.

Manuel will be missed greatly by his loving family who survive him: His 2 daughters Marisol Marquez (Gabriel Granillo), and Lizbet Marquez (Jose Melendez). His 3 sons Jorge L Marquez (Leandra Gallegos), Juan M Marquez and Alejandro Marquez. His 2 grandchildren Emilio L Marquez and Gael U Granillo Marquez. His spouse Teresa Marquez. His brothers and Sisters. Various Nephews, Nieces, Cousins, Uncles and Aunties.

Honoring his memory serving as pallbearers will be his 3 sons, Jorge L Marquez, Juan M Marquez and Alejandro Marquez. His 2 son-in-laws Gabriel Granillo and Jose Melendez. His brother Alfredo Marquez.

The family would like to thank everyone for their outpouring support during this difficult time.

There will be a viewing for Juan Marquez at the Sangre de Cristo at DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory on July 14, 2022 at 8:00 a.m.- 9:30 a.m. There will be a rosary at 10:00 a.m. and mass at 11:00 a.m. Holy Cross Church in Santa Cruz, NM. The burial will follow at Loma Vista in Alcalde, NM.
