Manuel Juan Martinez, age 83, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family, on Thursday, July 3, 2025. He was born on December 16, 1941, in El Rito, New Mexico.

Manuel was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. He was known for his kind heart, quiet strength, and unwavering love for his family. Throughout his life, Manuel carried with him the values and traditions of his upbringing, generously sharing his stories, wisdom, and warmth with everyone he met.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Emiliana Martinez; his beloved son, Mark Martinez; granddaughter, Raeanna Martinez; brothers David, Horacio, and Rudy Martinez; sister Epimenia Montoya; in-laws, Antonio and Christina Griego; brothers-in-law, Fernandes Chacon, Roberto Montoya, Tommy Lovato, and Stanley and Leo Griego; and sisters-in-law, Carolina Martinez and Loretta Griego.

Manuel is survived by his loving wife, Mary Agnes Martinez; son, Matthew Martinez, and his wife, Victoria; cherished grandchildren, Christopher, Desere, Raquel, Alejandro, and Mark Martinez; and great-granddaughter, Arabella-Rae Velasquez. He is also survived by sisters, Odelsia Chacon and Elsie Lovato; sisters-in-law, Cordilia and Zella Martinez, Janet (Jack) Malcom, Debbie, Sandra, and Augustina Griego; several nieces and nephews, many extended family members, and dear friends.

Manuel’s life was one of humility, love, and quiet grace. He leaves behind a legacy of strong family values, gentle wisdom, and enduring love that will continue to inspire those who knew and loved him.

Per Manuel’s wishes, no public services will be held.
