JoyLynn O'Brien

Joy Lynn C. O’Brien, 64, a resident of Española passed away on Friday, May 21, 2020 after a hard-fought battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her parents Maxine “Nanny” Sanchez and Willie G. Sanchez; nieces Francine Blea and Sarah Blea and nephew Matthew Blea.  She is survived by her daughter Chrystal Bustos (Daniel Lopez); grandson Joe L. Martinez; granddaughter Danielle Lopez; brothers Robert Velasquez and Dennis O’Brien; sisters Wanda Blea and Sarah Pack; close nephew Joseph Blea (Denise); nephews Dennis O’Brien Jr.,  Nathan Velasquez (Liza), and Andres O’Brien; niece Heather O’Brien; close “tiny one” Matthew Blea; plus other loving great nieces, great nephews relatives and friends. A devotional service will be held on Friday, June 5, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Truth Ministries Calvary Church in Arroyo Seco. The family of Joy Lynn C. O’Brien has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Espanola Valley.
