Joseph - Age 75 - Santa Fe - Chavez

JOSEPH CHAVEZ, 75, a resident of Santa Fe, passed away on Monday, May 30, 2011 following a short illness. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lori Chavez and parents, Joaquin and Benigna Chavez. Joseph’s passion in life truly was saving lives. He owned and operated C & H Ambulance for 35 years and retired in 1994. When he wasn’t working he enjoyed spending time with his family. Joe loved his Budweiser Beer. He will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him. Mr. Chavez is survived by his daughter, Irene Chavez and companion John Barela; grandchildren, Gabriel Vigil and girlfriend Amanda Niño, Cheryl Vigil and Cassondra Vigil and companion Nicholas Segura; great-grandsons, Elijah and Jeremiah Segura and brother, Reyfugio Chavez all of Santa Fe and numerous other relatives and friends. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Santa Fe. The family of Joseph Chavez has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
