Jose Garcia

Jose I. Garcia, 76 years old from Penasco, NM passed away on March 11th 2022 surrounded by his loving family after fully accepting Jesus Christ as his lord and savior while battling a lengthy illness. Jose Ignacio Garcia was born on March 9th 1946 to Jose Leopoldo and Sofiria Garcia. Jose was a beloved son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Jose was a servant of Christ who shared the lords word with anyone who would listen.  Any one who spent time in his presence surely heard him quote John 11:25-26 “Jesus said I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die.”  Jose was preceded in death by his Grandparents Jose Ignacio and Alcarita Dominguez Garcia and Elfido and Eloisa Martinez Arguello. Parents Jose Leopoldo Garcia and Sofiria  Arguello Garcia. His wife Isabel E. Romero Garcia. Brothers Roberto, Prescilino, Jose Alfonso,  and Elfido Garcia. Sisters Dulcinia Garcia Tafoya, and Celia Garcia Sanchez. Jose is Survived by his Daughter Helena Barbara Garcia, His Sons Harvey Garcia, Johnny Garcia and William (Arlene) Garcia. Grandson Jose Leandro “Joey” Garcia and his Late Fiance Cathy Cozart and their Children Jazmeen, Isabella, Jeffery and Jessica. Granddaughters Anikka and Anastacia Garcia.  Grandson Lorenzo (Athena) Garcia and their son Ares Odysseus Garcia. Jose is also Survived by his Brother Jose Ricardo (Frances)Garcia and Family. Jerry (Josie) Garcia and family, Arturo Garcia and family and Sisters Edith (Filiberto) Sanchez and family. Eloisa (Martin) Ortiz and family.

The Garcia Family would like to give a special thanks to Jose Ignacios Companera and special friend Evelyn Gutierrez and sons Matthew and Michael Garcia and Daughters Rebecca and Jazmyn Gutierrez for the love and amazing care you all provided.

Services for Jose Garcia will begin with a public Visitation on Friday March 25, 2022 at 9:30 am with a funeral  Service to follow at 10:00am in the Sangre De Cristo chapel of De Vargas Funeral home with a Burial at the Ojo Sacro Cemetery.
