Johnny
Espinoza
March 8, 2026
Johnny “Dude” Espinoza, beloved resident of El Llano, New Mexico, left this Earth on March 8, 2026, surrounded by the love and presence of his family. Born on June 24, 1944, to Felix and Apolonia Espinoza, Johnny brought joy, laughter, and light everywhere he went. Known affectionately as “Dude,” he was truly the life of every gathering — a man whose quick wit, unforgettable humor, and warm charisma made him impossible not to love.
Johnny’s earthly journey reunites him with his parents, Felix and Apolonia; his cherished children Debbie Espinoza and Juanito Antonio Espinoza; and his sister Orlinda Martinez. Though he will be profoundly missed, his spirit continues to live on in the countless hearts he touched.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 50 years, Rosita Espinoza, who stood by his side through every joy and challenge. He also leaves behind his sister Socorro Chavez; his son Laureano Espinoza (Melony); grandchildren Dustin (Brianna), Victor, Karla, Araceli (Lane), Danielle (Elijah), and Elijah Espinoza; and great-grandchildren Dakota and Diego. His love extends to many more family members who held a special place in his heart.
The family extends their deepest gratitude to nephew Clarence Chavez and grandson Elijah Espinoza for their exceptional care, support, and devotion to Johnny. They also offer sincere thanks to the Presbyterian Hospice staff, whose compassion made a profound difference — especially Liliana, whose kindness and dedication went above and beyond.
Johnny “Dude” Espinoza lived a life rich in humor, heart, and unforgettable moments. His laughter will echo in memory, his stories will be retold for generations, and his legacy of love will continue to guide those who knew him.
