John Anthony Quintana passed away peacefully on May 31, 2025, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, after a long illness.
He was born on July 16, 1973 in Espanola, NM. He was the youngest of 2 children born to Lucio and Margaret Quintana.
John was preceded in death by his grandparents Amado and Beatriz Quintana and Fidel and Gloria Sanchez.
John is survived by his beloved wife Veronica Quintana of 26 years and parents Lucio Quintana and Margaret Sanchez. He is also survived by his brother Matthew Quintana, wife Alma, nieces Jennifer and Felize, sister-in-law, Victoria Garcia and husband Alex, nephews Alex Jr. and David, brother-in-law Issac Pacheco and wife, Tilana, nephews Isaac and Noah, niece Jada, cousins Pamela and husband Jay Lujan, cousins Desiree, Estevan, Brandon, close friends John and Renee Murphy and many other dear relatives and friends.
John graduated from Christian Life Academy in 1991. He then attended ITT Technical Institute and received a degree in Electronics Technology in 1993. In addition to tech jobs like working at AOL and Intel, he worked a variety of jobs including home health care.
Being a man of tremendous faith, he loved the Lord and reading the scriptures. He also enjoyed spending time with his wife and family, playing video games, watching the latest horror movies and rooting for his cherished Denver Broncos.
We will forever miss John’s love, his smile, his positive attitude, his laugh and care for other people.
A wake service will be held on Friday, June 13, 2025, at DeVargas Funeral Home in Espanola, NM. There will be a Public Viewing at 10:00 a.m., followed by a Wake Service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Espanola, NM, after the service.
