Joey G. Medina, 61, a resident of Alcalde, NM, was called to Eternal life on Monday, July 7, 2025. He was born on August 29 1963 in San Luis, CO.

Joey was preceded in death by his parents Joe E. and Teresa Medina from Alcalde, NM; grandparents Lino Jr and Leonarda Trujillo from Costilla, NM, and Sarapio Medina Sr. and Escolastica Medina from Boone, CO; infant brother Joseph Medina; nephew Brian Medina; and great niece Jenai Espinoza.

He survived by his sister Joylene (Vincent) Valdez; brother Joseph Dale (Ruby) Medina; nieces and nephew Fabian (Donna) Valdez, Marcos, David Valdez, and Diserae (Ty) Lujan, Alcalde, NM, Deanna (Jeff)) Saba, Westminster CO. Jennifer (James) Espinoza Mora, NM, Joseph and Matthew Medina Espanola; great nieces and nephew Steven and Joshua Saba, James and Sarah Espinoza, Tyson and Logan Lujan, Hannah and Felice Gallegos, Kaitlyn Thomas; great-great nieces and nephew Nicholas, Lucas and Autumn Espinoza and Danny Esquibel III.

A Rosary will be recited on Friday, July 25, 2025, at 10:30 am at San Juan de Bautista Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh, NM, with Mass to follow at 11:00 am.  

Burial will take place on Saturday, July 26, 2025,  at 2:00 pm at the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Costilla, NM.
