Joel Chavez

Joel Chavez, 53, a former resident of Petaca, NM sadly took his final breath on February 19, 2023. Joel was a lifelong auto mechanic and loved what he did.

Joel is survived by his lifelong love of 27 years, Myra Barela, brothers Robert, Gabriel, and Leroy, daughters Lillian, Katrina, and Estrella, grandchildren Kristen, Jessica, and Clinton Jr., Great grandchildren Layla, Nathaniel, Chris, Brandyn and Sophia, nieces Desiree, Hailey, Renee, Tiffany and Nicole, and many other family.

One of Joel's favorite hobbies was spending time with his two little buddies, Nathaniel and Brandyn, and teaching them how to play the guitar.

Joel is preceded in death by his parents Adolfo Chavez and Rosina Esquibel, brothers Orlando and Adolfo.

Pallbearers will be Desiree Chavez, Clinton Jr. Grant, Nathaniel Jaramillo, and Layla Grant.

Funeral Service will be held on March 10, 2023 at 10:00 am at the Victory Faith Church in Espanola, NM. A burial is to follow at 3:00 pm at the cemetery in Petaca, New Mexico.
