Joe Albert "Betsy" Sherwood, March 28, 1957-May 28, 2026 69 years old, a resident of Chimayo, NM, passed away on May 28, 2026 from an unexpected illness. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack Kenneth and Mabel M Sherwood; siblings, Faustino Gilbert Sherwood, Dennis Sherwood, Leroy Sherwood, Erma Montoya (Charlie Montoya), Patty Sherwood, Kenneth "Carlos" aka "China" Sherwood, Judith "Judy" Sherwood; His fur baby Lassie who he loved so much; Nephews, Kevin Romero, Robert Trujillo, Michael Sherwood, Urban Quintana, and Casey Michael Montoya IV.

Albert "Betsy" loved all of his family. He liked hanging out with his nephew Jerry Martinez (Gina) going fishing, jamming out to music and dancing. Albert "Betsy" was a free spirit all his life from a young age into his adulthood just like his older sister Judy. If Albert "Betsy" could help someone he would. Albert "Betsy" was being cared for by his niece Michelle Pacheco Lopez right before his passing in La Puebla. Albert "Betsy" was loved by many and will be greatly missed. His surviving siblings are, Corrine Martinez (Jerry), Debbie Sherwood, Della Sherwood (Larry), Wayne Sherwood, Yolanda Sherwood (Jeremiah), Sammy Sherwood, and all of his nieces, nephews, and family ... There will be services June 10th, 2026 at the Rock Christian Fellowship at 9:30am viewing, services will began at 10am and burial at the EL Buen Pastor Presbyterian Cemetery to follow in Chimayo, NM. Serving as Pallbears are Mark Herrera, JP Lyon, Keith Romero, Frankie Martinez, Jerry and Gina Martinez.

A Public Visitation will begin at 9:30 am on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at The Rock Christian Fellowship in Espanola, NM, with a Funeral Service to follow at 10:00 am. Burial will take place at the El Buen Pastor Presbyterian Cemetery in Chimayo, NM.
