In Loving Memory of Joann “Joe” Lobato

2 Timothy 4:7 “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”

Our beautiful warrior Joann C. Lobato, 49, was carried home by our Lord, the greatest healer. We are comforted by knowing she is no longer in pain and is healed, she finally won the fight.

Joann, affectionately known as “Joe,” was truly one of a kind. She had a heart full of love, a personality that could light up a room, and a stubborn streak that made her unforgettable. She was fun-loving, outspoken, and never afraid to speak her mind. With Joe, you always knew exactly where you stood, but you also knew that behind her strong personality was a heart filled with love for the people who meant the most to her.

Joe knew how to enjoy life and make memories. Whether she was cheering on her beloved Denver Broncos, getting caught up in the excitement of a football game, or attending concerts surrounded by family and friends, she treasured the moments spent with those she loved. She had a way of bringing laughter, excitement, and a little bit of attitude wherever she went.

To know Joe was to love her, even when her stubborn side came shining through. She was unapologetically herself, and that is exactly what made her so special. Her laughter, her honesty, her love, and her unforgettable personality will forever be remembered.

Joe leaves behind her loving mother, Carmen; her beloved daughters, Damonica (Josh) and Toni (Angel); her dear sisters, Nancy and Leona, devoted cousin she considered a sister, Angel; Nieces, Alexis (Adam) and Kyleigh, nephew Lucius. Many other nieces and nephews she loved dearly, cousins she considered her siblings, aunts and uncles she adored, friends who loved her as she loved them, and all her “kids” she considered her own, Mama Joe.

Mama Joe may no longer be here to cheer on her Broncos, sing along at concerts, or tell us exactly what’s on her mind, but her spirit will forever be a part of every game, every song, and every memory we hold dear.

The family of Joann Lobato has entrusted the care of their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the beautiful Espanola Valley.  505-747.7477
