It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announced a passing of our beloved father Jimmy Anaya. He was born December1, 1952 to Maria and Abel Anaya. He passed away on July 30, 2026, peacefully, following a brief illness. Jimmy was surrounded by his loving family at the time of his passing.

Jim was in the Army National Guard, for 7 years he retired from ABF freight lines as a truck driver after 30 years.

Jim love coaching baseball, softball and basketball also devoted his time on being an Umpire and a referee. He truly loved the game and made many friends along the way he also dedicate his time to engraved medals for the elementary wrestling what's the kids loved. He also had a store that he loved to work with his trophies, shirts, and plaques. He loved to sing and play any instrument that was in his hands, he played the drums, vocalist in the family band "The Rocking Aces". Then went to Mariachis made a group with his brother they performed all over, he also love to sing in the choir at Santa Maria de La Paz and Saint Ann's Church. 

He is proceeded in death by his parents Able and Maria Anaya, also by his brothers Bobby, Leo, and Henry.

Jimmy is survived by his daughter Michelle Anaya Barella and his son Jimmy (Annette), his brother Michael Anaya (Lupe). He also had five grandsons Lawrence (Adrianna) Michael Ryan Matthew and Dominic he also had great grandchildren. 

Service are on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at St Ann's Church (511 Alicia Street, SF, NM  87501), with a Rosary starting at 9:00 am, with a Funeral Mass 10:00 am. Burial to follow at the Rosario Cemetery in Santa Fe, NM.
