Jimmy - Age 49 - Chimayo Romero

Jimmy Romero, 49, – a resident of Chimayo passed away on Sunday, August 1, 2010. He was a well known person in the Chimayo area. He was preceded in death by his grandpa Carmen Romero who raised him; and a brother, Jeffery Martinez. He is survived by his mother Helen Martinez; girlfriend, Maria Nieto of Santa Fe; grandma, Carolina Romero; sons, Jimmy Romero Jr., Noel Romero and wife Lori, Jerome Romero; five grandchildren; brothers; Benjie Martinez and companion Beverly their son Kevin, Eugene Martinez; sister, Shirley Martinez; aunt, Heralda Serrano who was like a sister to him; uncle, Henry Romero and wife Theresa Romero of La Puebla, Medardo Romero and wife Bonnie of Creston, Washington; and many other friends & relatives. Public visitation will held on Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at 6:30 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Chimayo. Burial will follow at the Nuestra Senora de Carmel Cemetery in Chimayo with the following serving as pallbearers, Martin, Tiny, Johnny, Tony, Randy, Curtis, and Jesse. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren and Andrew Abeyta, Timmy, Fabian Martinez.
