Jessie C. Rodriguez – 53, a lifelong resident of Española passed away on Monday, September 19, 2011 due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Jessie enjoyed the outdoors – whether, fishing, hunting, camping, cooking and riding her Harley. Jessie was very outgoing and kind, a good friend. She will be missed by those who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her father, Johnny C. Rodriguez; sister, Barbara Sanchez; brother, Mike Lopez. Jessie is survived by her son, Jesus Rodriguez and companion Amanda Heredia; granddaughters: Arianna and Angelia Rodriguez all of Albuquerque and Amanda Martinez of Chimayo; mother, Victoria Lopez and companion George Lucero of Española; brothers/sister: Benjamin Lopez and wife Irene of Española, Inez McCanna and husband Jim of Placitas, Leroy Lopez and companion Paulina Moya of Los Ojos, Johnny C. Rodriguez Jr. of Española, Carlos J. Rodriguez and wife Janet of San Pedro; close nieces: Justina and Crystal Rodriguez of Española; aunts: Jessie Martinez of Española and Crucita Todd of Hawaii; dear friend, Eli Archuleta of Española; numerous nephews/nieces & other loving relatives and friends. Public visitation will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2011 at 6:30 p.m. at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Canada with a rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, September 23, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Canada with burial to follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flower the family would appreciate any memorial contributions for her funeral to be made to Devargas Funeral Home & Crematory. The family of Jessie C.
