JESSICA MARIE GONZALES, 27, a resident of Española, passed away on Friday, May 12, 2017. Jessica was preceded in death by her grandmother, Lucy Gonzales of Gallina; cousin, Patricia Cordova; and uncle, Johnny Gonzales of Gallina. She worked as a teacher’s assistant at Las Cumbers preschool. Jessica loved all the children as much as they loved her, she was a positive energetic person that found the good in everyone. Jessica always offered a helping hand and would go over and beyond to make people happy. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her. Jessica is survived by her adopted mother, Mary Gonzales of Española; companion, Paul Springfield of Espanola; sisters, Barbara Gonzales and husband Copio of Albuquerque, Evelyn Martinez and husband Ted of Chimayo, brother, Louis Martinez and wife Erica of Española; cousin, Melody Romero of Española; biological parents, Helen Herrera and Peter Gonzales, biological sisters, Barbara and Roxanne Gonzales and Melissa Herrera, and many nieces and nephews whom she loved and cared for dearly.
